POSITION OVERVIEW 

The Interpreter at Grace Clinics of Ohio provides essential communication support for patients who speak languages other than English. This role involves translating spoken and written information between patients and healthcare providers to ensure clear understanding and effective care. The Interpreter helps ensure that non-English speaking patients receive high-quality, compassionate medical care. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Interpretation Services: Translate spoken communication between healthcare providers and patients during exams, consultations, and treatments. 

• Patient Education: Assist in explaining medical instructions, treatment plans, and medication information to patients in their preferred language. 

• Documentation Support: Translate written materials, such as consent forms, medical documents, or informational brochures, as needed. 

• Ensure Accuracy: Provide accurate translations, ensuring that both medical terminology and patient concerns are clearly conveyed. 

• Cultural Sensitivity: Be aware of cultural differences and provide an understanding, respectful environment for non-English speaking patients. 

• Assist with Administrative Tasks: Help with patient intake, appointment scheduling, or other administrative duties as necessary, ensuring clear communication between staff and patients.  

QUALIFICATIONS

• Fluency in at least one language other than English (required). 

• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex medical concepts in a clear and understandable manner. 

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism. 

• Cultural sensitivity and ability to work with diverse populations.
