Patient Flow Volunteer Job Description

POSITION OVERVIEW 

The Patient Flow Coordinator at Grace Clinics of Ohio ensures the efficient movement of patients through the clinic, from check-in to treatment and discharge. This role involves rooming patients, ensuring timely appointments, and optimizing clinic workflows to minimize wait times and enhance the patient experience. The Patient Flow Coordinator plays a key role in maintaining smooth clinic operation. 

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Patient Coordination: Manage patient flow from check-in to discharge, ensuring patients are seen in a timely and organized manner. 
  • Waiting Area Management: Monitor waiting room status, ensuring patients are comfortable and ready for their appointments. 
  • Efficient Communication: Collaborate with medical and administrative staff to ensure patients are appropriately assigned to healthcare providers and treatment rooms. 
  • Manage Delays: Address any delays or issues in patient scheduling, communicating changes to patients and providing updates as needed. 
  • Continuous Improvement: Assist in identifying and implementing strategies to improve clinic efficiency, reduce patient wait times, and enhance overall patient satisfaction.
