POSITION OVERVIEW 

The Physical Therapist at Grace Clinics of Ohio provides specialized care to patients with physical impairments, disabilities, or injuries. This role involves evaluating patients’ mobility and physical conditions, developing individualized treatment plans, and helping patients improve their physical function and quality of life. The Physical Therapist plays a vital role in promoting recovery, mobility, and overall well-being in underserved communities. 

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Patient Assessment: Evaluate patients’ physical conditions, mobility, and functional abilities through tests and physical examinations. 

• Treatment Planning: Develop personalized treatment plans based on patients’ needs, goals, and medical history, aimed at improving strength, flexibility, balance, and overall mobility. 

• Therapeutic Exercises: Guide and instruct patients in specific exercises to restore movement, relieve pain, and prevent further injuries. 

• Manual Therapy: Use hands-on techniques, such as joint manipulation and soft tissue mobilization, to improve movement and alleviate discomfort. 

• Patient Education: Educate patients about posture, body mechanics, injury prevention, and home exercise programs to support ongoing recovery. 

• Progress Monitoring: Track patients’ progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly to ensure continued improvement and goal achievement. 

• Collaboration: Work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure holistic treatment. 

• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of patient assessments, progress, treatment plans, and outcomes, adhering to clinic protocols and confidentiality standards. 

 

QUALIFICATIONS

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program. 

• Valid state licensure as a Physical Therapist. 

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to educate and motivate patients. 

• Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care. 

• Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary healthcare team
