POSITION OVERVIEW 

The Prayer Volunteer at Grace Clinics of Ohio offers emotional and spiritual support to patients, staff, and visitors by providing prayer and a compassionate presence. This role involves listening to individuals’ concerns, offering prayers for healing, comfort, strength, and creating a peaceful, supportive atmosphere in the clinic. The Prayer Volunteer contributes to the holistic care model by addressing the spiritual well-being of patients and fostering a sense of hope and peace.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide Prayer Support: Offer individual or group prayers for patients, their families, and clinic staff, asking for healing, peace, and strength.
• Spiritual Comfort: Offer a listening ear and provide emotional and spiritual comfort to those seeking support during difficult times.
• Create a Positive Atmosphere: Help create an atmosphere of peace and encouragement within the clinic by offering prayers, positivity, and support.
• Respectful Engagement: Approach all patients and staff with respect, recognizing and honoring diverse spiritual beliefs and practices.
• Collaborate with Staff: Work alongside clinic staff to identify patients or individuals who may benefit from prayer or spiritual support, maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
• Supportive Presence: Be present during clinic hours, either in designated areas or with patients who request spiritual support.
• Maintain Confidentiality: Respect patient confidentiality and privacy, following all clinic policies and guidelines for patient interaction.

QUALIFICATIONS

• A Christian who attends or is a church member and prayer warrior.
• Strong faith and a compassionate, empathetic nature.
• Comfortable praying with individuals from diverse religious or spiritual backgrounds.
• Ability to listen attentively
• Respect for privacy, confidentiality, and patient boundaries.
• Ability to maintain a calm, non-judgmental presence.
• Experience in prayer ministry or spiritual care (preferred but not required).
